Post-operative pain management, anti-inflammatory injections, go-home medications, and an E-collar or other necessary medications may result in additional charges. The specific amount may vary depending on your pet's body weight, overall health, and behavior. Our veterinarians highly advise conducting pre-anesthetic blood tests before surgery to evaluate internal organ function and blood cell count. This is essential for the safety of your pet during general anesthesia. Additionally, the blood work helps determine the best anesthesia protocol and minimizes potential risks. The cost for pre-anesthetic blood work is a fixed rate of $59 regardless of your pet's body weight. We strongly recommend this as it provides valuable insights into your pet's health before undergoing anesthesia.
